FTC Team #25690
Visit : The Stanford Robotics Center

As a part of enrichment the Evergreen Tech-a-Trons team visited the Stanford Robotics Center and Stanford campus to explore advanced robotics research and gain first hand exposure to transformative technologies developed by world-class researchers. During the tour, students interacted with multidisciplinary robotics projects in areas such as field robotics, medical robotics, the future of work, and domestic automation, witnessing demonstrations of state-of-the-art robots and learning about real-world applications that have societal impact. The visit inspired team members by showcasing how collaborative innovation at Stanford is shaping the future of robotics for both people and the planet.
Industrial Visit : Amazon Warehouse

The Evergreen Tech-a-Trons team recently visited an Amazon warehouse, where they had the unique opportunity to witness cutting-edge robotics in action far beyond the FTC competitions. Observing the seamless collaboration between robots and employees for tasks like inventory management, package sorting, and fulfillment, team members saw firsthand how advanced robotics and AI drive efficiency, safety, and innovation at an industrial scale. The experience highlighted how skills developed through FTC can be the foundation for real-world solutions that transform global logistics and improve people’s daily lives

As part of the enrichment program for Team Evergreen Tech-a-Trons, Mr. Manikandan delivered an insightful talk on robot reinforcement learning. He holds a BE and MS in Robotics from Brystal University UK, where his project focused on "Deep Reinforcement Learning-based Control of a Robot Hand." Team members actively engaged with him to learn how real-life robotics can shape their future careers.
Mentoring session from FTC Alumni

Evergreen Tech-a-Trons members actively interacted and shared their ideas with Mr. Ahmed Nazirudeen a FTC alumnus, during the design session for the DECODE 2025-26 season.
Industrial Visit : AMD Innovation research center

Team Evergreen Techatrons visited the AMD Innovation and Research Center to deepen their understanding of artificial intelligence and its real-world applications in robotics. During the visit, students learned how AI algorithms running on powerful processors can quickly analyze sensor data from cameras and other inputs. This rapid processing enables robots to make decisions in real time, which is essential for tasks like navigation, object detection, and manipulation. The team also saw how specialized computing hardware improves both the speed and accuracy of these AI-driven tasks. Engineers explained how similar technologies are used in industry, from factory robots to autonomous vehicles. Overall, the visit helped students connect their competition robots with cutting-edge AI and computing technologies used in professional robotics.
